Healing from the past.
Honoring your spirit.
Whether you are navigating the pain of religious trauma or seeking to integrate your personal values into your mental health journey, you don't have to walk this path alone.
When "Sacred" Places Cause Harm.
I believe that for many, religious and spiritual communities are meant to be places of safety and belonging. But I also know that for some, these same environments can become sources of deep wounding. Religious trauma is real, and its effects—like persistent guilt, hypervigilance, or a profound loss of identity—can feel incredibly isolating.
If you are currently questioning your community, in the middle of 'deconstructing' your beliefs, or recovering from high-control environments, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to process that pain. My goal is to help you unlearn the heavy, external demands that no longer serve you and help you reclaim your own voice.
An Integrative Path Forward
In our work together, your spirituality—however you define it—doesn't have to be left at the door. Through Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP), we treat your beliefs as a potential resource for resilience and meaning-making.
This isn't about me pushing a specific agenda or trying to 'fix' your faith. Instead, it’s a collaborative partnership. Whether your spirituality is traditional, eclectic, evolving, or entirely absent, we will work together to ensure your mental health care respects your unique lived experience and worldview.
Reclaiming Your Autonomy
"Every journey of healing is unique, and we will move at a pace that feels safe for you. Our sessions may focus on:
-
Trauma-Informed Support: Providing a soft landing spot for those who have experienced spiritual abuse or systemic harm.
-
Nervous System Regulation: Learning practical grounding techniques to manage triggers that may arise from religious language or imagery.
-
Defining Your Values: Identifying what truly matters to you, independent of external religious expectations, so you can build a life that feels authentic and whole."
A Partnership Rooted in Respect
I am committed to providing an equitable space for everyone. I deeply respect the path you are on, whether you identify as spiritual, atheist, agnostic, or simply 'unsure.' You are the expert on your own life; my role is to stand with you as you navigate the complexities of your past and grow into the version of yourself you want to be.
