Therapy for Men, Neurodivergence,
Burnout & Faith Deconstruction
Many people come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to put words to what they’re experiencing. TLS Counselling offers thoughtful, compassionate psychotherapy for adults navigating relationship struggles, masking, burnout, identity shifts, emotional disconnection, and changing relationships with faith.
In-person sessions are available in Milton and Burlington, along with secure virtual therapy across Ontario.
You Might Be Here Because...
You may be someone who has spent years holding everything together quietly — functioning well on the outside while feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to fully understand what’s happening internally.
• You struggle to put words to what you’re feeling
• You feel emotionally disconnected in your relationships
• You spend so much time taking care of others that you’ve lost connection with yourself
• You are exhausted from masking, overthinking, or constantly adapting to others
• You feel overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally numb
• You are navigating ADHD, autism, sensory overwhelm, or neurodivergent burnout
• You are questioning long-held beliefs, identities, or relationships with faith
• You often appear “fine” externally while quietly struggling internally
• You are tired of carrying everything alone
Therapy can become a space to slow down, reflect honestly, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself more authentically. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning.
Areas of Focus
I work with adults and couples navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, burnout, neurodivergence, identity transitions, and questions of meaning, authenticity, and connection. Below are some of the areas I most commonly support clients through.
Men's Mental Health

Support for men navigating emotional disconnection, relationship struggles, burnout, stress, identity pressure, and the challenge of holding everything together alone.
Neurodivergence & Masking

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy for ADHD, autism, masking, sensory overwhelm, burnout, emotional regulation, and reconnecting with yourself more authentically.
Spirituality, Faith Transitions & Religious Trauma

Thoughtful support for people navigating spirituality, deconstruction, religious trauma, changing beliefs, identity shifts, and questions of meaning and belonging.
Relationships & Emotional Connection

Support for individuals and couples navigating communication struggles, emotional disconnection, conflict patterns, intimacy, and deeper relational understanding.
Anxiety, Stress, & Life Transitions

Therapy for anxiety, overwhelm, self-criticism, grief, uncertainty, burnout, and major life transitions that leave you feeling emotionally exhausted or stuck.

Therapy That Feels Human
My approach to therapy is relational, reflective, and grounded in genuine conversation. I believe therapy should be both practical and thoughtful: helping create immediate relief and stability while also supporting deeper self-understanding, emotional honesty, and long-term growth. Sessions are shaped collaboratively around your experiences, needs, and goals rather than rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all solutions.
Clients often describe therapy with me as calming, thoughtful, authentic, and non-judgmental. Many people I work with have spent years masking, over-functioning, emotionally suppressing themselves, or quietly carrying more than others realize. Therapy can become a space where you no longer need to perform, minimize your experience, or navigate everything alone.
• Thoughtful but practical
• Compassionate without pressure
• Emotionally honest and grounded
• Collaborative rather than clinical
• Safe for complexity, uncertainty, and questioning
• Rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and care
Meet Stephen Blackmore, RP(Q)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist based in Milton and Burlington, Ontario, offering in-person and virtual therapy for adults and couples across Ontario. My work is grounded in thoughtful conversation, emotional honesty, authenticity, and genuine human connection. I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels calm, collaborative, non-judgmental, and emotionally safe.
I work particularly well with men navigating emotional disconnection, burnout, relationships, and identity pressure; neurodivergent adults navigating masking and overwhelm; and individuals exploring questions around faith, spirituality, meaning, and deconstruction. My background includes psychotherapy, spiritual care, theology, and over 20 years of experience supporting people through emotional, relational, and life transitions.
Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. Being honest and open about what you don't know is one of the best places to start.
